Pinched Nerve

pinched nerve is a condition (and its associated pain) that comes from extra pressure on one of the nerves of the body. A compressed nerve can occur anywhere on the body, and is commonly experienced in the back and neck.

If there is too much pressure placed on a nerve by cartilage, bones, tendons, or muscles, it can cause pain, numbness, tingling, and other types of discomfort almost anywhere in the body. Here at Therapeutic Solutions LLC, we use adjustments and manipulations to help relieve pressure from the nerve and reduce pain experienced by our patients.

There are a number of signs and symptoms that point to a pinched nerve including the following:
  • ·         Pain radiating from the neck to the back.
  • ·         Burning or sharp pains in the arms or legs.
  • ·         Pinching sensations when turning the neck.
  • ·         Sharp jolts when twisting the back.
  • ·         Shoulder blade or buttock pain.
  • ·         Distracting and debilitating pain.
  • ·         Numbness and tingling in the arms or legs.
  • ·         Pain in the face, jaw or ear.
  • ·         Headaches with no other cause.
Pinched nerves can often be confused with other types of pain, which is why a visit to see Dr. Christopher Brill in Newport News, VA is recommended. We can provide diagnosis of your pinched nerve pain and develop a proper treatment plan for you.

Carpal Tunnel Syndrome

Carpal Tunnel Syndrome

Carpal tunnel syndrome is an unfortunately common work-related injury for many that work in manufacturing, sewing, finishing, cleaning, meatpacking and other hands-on industries.  Through the chiropractic services available at our practice, we offer long lasting, safe and non-invasive ways to manage carpal tunnel syndrome.

The median nerve runs from the forearm to your hand. In patients with carpal tunnel syndrome, this nerve is compressed into the narrow tunnel at the wrist. Patients with carpal tunnel syndrome may experience:

  • Burning

  • Tingling

  • Itching

  • Numbness

Chiropractic care helps patients find relief through joint manipulation and stretching and strengthening exercises.  We invite patients to visit our office for a diagnosis, where we can better determine the treatment that will best address their individual health issues.
