Cryotherapy

For those suffering with spasms and haven’t found the relief they’re looking for, it might be time to look into cryotherapy. At Therapeutic Solutions LLC, we have adopted this new technology in order to better treat our patients.

Cryotherapy is a procedure that helps numb painful areas as well as provides a cooling relief to the affected soft tissues. Cold applied to the area decreases the flow of this fluid into the tissues and slows the release of chemicals that cause pain. Cold decreases feeling in an area by reducing the ability of the nerve endings to conduct impulses.

Cold compresses are used to reduce bleeding and swelling within the injured tissue and is best used within 48 hours of your injury. Cryotherapy should not be used for patients who have the following:
  1. Circulation problems
  2. Are unconscious
  3. Those who cannot feel cold (numbness)
  4. Allergies
For those who do qualify, cryotherapy is a great solution for your back spasm and soft tissue injury problems. Cryotherapy is an excellent solution when it comes to reducing swelling and further injury in the early stages of the healing process.  For more information about our office or cryotherapy, please visit: www.therapeutic-solutions-llc.com or call us at 757-873-4131.

Acid Reflux

Acid reflux is a condition that affects millions of Americans. This health condition causes the contents of the stomach move back from the stomach into the esophagus. Many people will try and cure acid reflux with over-the-counter or prescription medication but in most cases, these medications only dull the symptoms rather than curing the condition. At Therapeutic Solutions LLC, Dr. Christopher Brill is able to cure patients from their acid reflux problems.

In many cases, acid reflux is causes by the failure of the cardia (where the stomach attaches to the esophagus) to keep the contents of the stomach from flowing back into the esophagus. The acids and enzymes contained within the stomach leak back into the esophagus where they cause irritation, burning and inflammation of the sensitive tissue lining the esophagus.

When the body’s spine and central nervous system are optimized and 100% healthy, all systems within the body perform correctly and without pain. When there are subluxations in the spine, the systems of the body are not able to function at peak levels which can lead to numerous health issues, including digestive problems such as acid reflux. As part of our overall care, we also provide patients with guidance on weight loss, improving diet and exercise plans. All of these elements are important in eliminating acid reflux and preventing it from returning.

Patients turn to chiropractic care because treatment involves no prescription drugs or surgery. It’s safe and effective, even for conditions like acid reflux.

Asthma

Asthma is a common disease that causes chest tightness, coughing, difficulty breathing, and wheezing. It can impact a person’s quality of life, especially when they experience an asthma attack. According to the Centers for Disease Control, about 1 in 12 people have asthma, and many asthma attacks among them can be prevented.

Individuals with asthma experience their symptoms at different times, with things like the poor air quality and allergens worsening their symptoms or triggering an asthma attack. Even exercise and weather can be an asthma trigger. At Therapeutic Solutions LLC, we provide chiropractic care for treating asthma in order to help patients find some relief from their symptoms.

When a patient has chronic asthma, his or her muscles surrounding their airways are inflamed and constricted. This inflammation and narrowing of the airways causes the tell-tale asthma symptoms of chest tightness, coughing, shortness of breath, and wheezing.

But when the vertebrae is properly aligned through treatments like chiropractic adjustments and manipulations, we have found that the muscles in the bronchial that cause asthma symptoms can show improved functioning. Relaxation techniques, including acupuncture, breathing exercises, and massage can also be helpful.
